Nara Chandrababu Naidu today said that the only instance when he broke down in his life was when his wife was verbally attacked on the floor of the Assembly a couple of years ago during the YSRCP rule. “What happened to me was injustice,” the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said today.
He told his party MLAs and functionaries to never drag women into political slugfests. “Don’t ever insult women, be they anybody. Follow this principle without fail,” Naidu said, though not exactly in as many words.
He then said that zero tolerance would be shown towards anybody who passes obscene remarks about women on social media. Those passing vulgar comments about women will be punished, the CM firmly said, without elaborating much. A special wing will be formed for the purpose.
