All three major movies for this Dasara have hit the screens and completed Day 1 for Tiger Nageswara Rao and Day 2 for Leo and Bhagavanth Kesari combinedly. It’s time the audiences give their verdict on these movies.
Among this heavy competition, all the movies are considered Blockbusters by their fans, it is the numbers that matter and the word of mouth that makes them continue in the long run.
Leo, released on Pan-Indian film has a huge hype and the pre-booking is done in heavy numbers due the background of Lokesh Kanagaraj LCU and the anticipation of the link with the LCU franchise’s upcoming movies. The pre-booking itself made nearly 80 Cr+ gross worldwide and at the end of day 1 Leo collected approximately 145 Cr+ Worldwide. But the word of mouth and reviews claimed mixed talk that Leo could be much better not up to the standards of the previous films in the LCU.
Bhagavanth Kesari a stand-alone regional film that was released on the same day as Leo initially started with mixed talk as the story is not a regular one neither for the director Anil Raavipui nor for Nandamuri Balakrishna. Even though the buzz for this film is very high the pre-bookings are rather slow compared to the Leo movie. But the collections gradually picked up from evening shows as the word of mouth spread positively from family audiences and picked up pace from then on. Bhagavanth Kesari collected 35.33 Cr+ world wide continuing on hit track due to the performances of Bala Krishna and Sree Leela.
With one day gap released “Tiger Nageswara Rao” directed by Vamsee came up with the Biopic of notorious robber Stuartpuram Nageswara Rao. Even though the fim team made several promotions that included a live interaction with the audience. The film had meager buzz and prebooking and the word of mouth have been from mixed to negative from the morning show.
Now the entire future of the films depends on the pure content as they are done with Pre-bookings and fans stuff. The clear winner for this festive season will known only at the end of this week.
