During the Telugu Film Directors Association (TFDA) 2024 election panel meeting, V. Samudra and his team convened to discuss their manifesto and plans for the future if their panel is elected. Director V. Samudra, along with Maddineni Ramesh, Madhusudan Reddy, and Kasturi Srinivas, participated in this crucial meeting.
Director V. Samudra shared his vision, stating, “I have directed 18 films, with 12 of them achieving success. I’ve introduced about 170 associate directors and assistant directors to the industry. Now, I am running for the position of president in the TFDA 2024 elections. My aim is to serve everyone and contribute positively, not driven by a desire for leadership. In life, a mother should be happy when we are born, a father should be happy as we grow, and society should celebrate our existence. If you vote for me and our panel wins, I will fulfill the responsibilities outlined in our manifesto as promised.”
Maddineni Ramesh expressed his candidacy for the general secretary position on behalf of the V. Samudra Panel. He reflected on his past roles within the directors’ association, highlighting his progression from an EC member to organizational treasurer and now a general secretary candidate. Ramesh emphasized the competitive nature of the current TFDA elections and assured that, if their panel emerges victorious, they will uphold the promises outlined in their manifesto.
Madhusudan Reddy, running for the treasurer position, acknowledged the respectful treatment of TFDA members in the past and pledged to continue and enhance it. He assured that their panel would uphold the standards, avoiding degradation, and work towards the betterment of all through effective fundraising. Reddy asserted that their team is committed to fulfilling the pledges made in their manifesto.
Kasturi Srinivas, vying for the joint secretary position in the V. Samudra panel, clarified that the meeting aimed to outline their future activities. He expressed a sense of camaraderie with other panels, considering them as family members. While recognizing the global impact of cinema, Srinivas emphasized the need for addressing persistent issues within the system. He reassured that their panel would earnestly work towards addressing these challenges and fulfilling their promises in the best interest of the TFDA community.
