The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce, and Telugu Film Producers Council jointly organized a press meet to address the challenges and concerns related to the release of Telugu movies during the festive season of Sankranti. The primary focus of the press conference was to discuss the issues faced by filmmakers and theater owners, aiming for a harmonious release of multiple films during this lucrative period.
Dil Raju, a prominent producer, highlighted the impact of social media and news channels on the industry. While acknowledging the continuous support from these platforms, he emphasized the occasional individual damage caused by misinformation. Dil Raju commended the decision-making process that ensued after a producers’ meeting held 15 days prior. Notably, the Eagle team gracefully withdrew from the Sankranti competition, adhering to the collective decision. Dil Raju expressed gratitude to Vishwa Prasad, Vivek, Hero Ravi Teja, and the Eagle team for their cooperation.
Prasanna Kumar, another producer, shed light on the collaborative efforts of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce, and Telugu Film Producers Council in organizing a crucial meeting. During this meeting, all producers shared their concerns, fostering unity and support within the industry. Prasanna Kumar specifically thanked Eagle Movie Team’s Producer Vishwaprasad, Vivek, and Hero Ravi Teja for voluntarily stepping back from the Sankranti race, considering the overall benefit of everyone involved.
Damodar Prasad, emphasizing the significance of the press meet, stressed that it centered around the Sankranti movie releases. He highlighted the proactive approach taken by the producers, who, after the earlier meeting, decided to postpone the release of Eagle Movie, ensuring a fair distribution of screens for other films. He expressed gratitude to People’s Media, Vishwa Prasad, Vivek, Hero Ravi Teja, and others from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce, and Telugu Film Producers Council for their collective efforts with no individual gains in mind.
Anupam Reddy from the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce acknowledged and appreciated the unity demonstrated by the film industry. He extended thanks to the Eagle Team, particularly Vishwaprasad, Vivek, and Hero Ravi Teja, for their decision to withdraw from the Sankranti race, showcasing the solidarity within the industry.
The press meet included the participation of key figures such as Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce President Dil Raju, Secretary Damodar Prasad, Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce representatives Sunil Narang and Anupam Reddy, Telugu Film Producers Council Secretary Prasanna Kumar and Damodar Prasad, along with Vishwa Prasad, Niranjan Reddy, Vivek Kuchibotla, Chittoor Srinu, and Venkat Boinapalli from People’s Media Factory. The collective efforts of these stakeholders aimed to ensure a smooth and profitable Sankranti release for all films involved.
