Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s recent endorsement of hydrogen peroxide has been debunked by a qualified doctor named Dr Cyriac Abby Philips. The expert stopped at nothing – he even called for her arrest for promoting “pseudo-science”. When an expert declares that you should be thrown into prison and such a post goes viral, sparking national media coverage, it is not a small thing. The issue will inevitably take a toll on any well-intentioned celebrity.
The actress is apparently taken aback by how the whole issue has blown up. After the brouhaha this week over her health-related social media posts, she could desist from endorsing alternative medicines/therapies in the future.
For years, Samantha has promoted one or another alternative medicine. She has found certain Ayurvedic herbs useful, for example. Probably, she consumed alternative medicine for her autoimmune condition, Myositis. However, public endorsement of such “unproven” therapies is discouraged by experts.
