Actress Poonam Kaur has been passing oblique and occasionally direct remarks against Trivikram for years now, tauntingly referring to him as ‘Guruji’. In the wake of the Jani Master issue, she made fresh remarks on Tuesday.
“Had the Movie Artists Association taken my complaint against Trivikram Srinivas with sincerity, I and many others wouldn’t have faced political harassment,” she wrote on X, also claiming that she did raise her concerns with certain elders, only to be ignored.
Reacting to her comment, veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaja told a YouTube channel that Poonam Kaur’s concerns will be looked into if she likes to approach the concerned authorities in the industry. “I am not aware when she lodged her complaint in the past. If she did that after the formation of the the concerned committee to redress sexual harassment complaints, it must be made clear if she dropped her complaint letter in the prescribed box. Her complaint didn’t come to our notice. If she approaches us with a fresh complaint, we will look into it,” he said.
