The day one collections of ‘Devara’ in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were impressive. The film raked in a staggering Rs 54.21 crores on its first day (excluding GST) in Distributor Share terms.
The Telugu land showers moolah
The Nizam region contributed the most with 19.32 crores, followed by the Ceded region at 10.40 crores. The Vizag, Guntur, Krishna, East, and West regions all contributed between 3 and 6 crores. Nellore was the lowest contributor with 2.11 crores.
The Northern belt:
In North India, ‘Devara’ had a decent start on its first day, with the Hindi version grossing approximately 9.3 crores (nett 7.9 crores) and the Telugu version grossing 2.1 crores. Combined, the Hindi belt grossed around 11.4 crores.
Worldwide Gross is disputed
As per NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, ‘Devara’ grossed Rs 172 Cr worldwide. But BO analysts have come up with divergent figures. The Jr NTR-starrer is said to have grossed anywhere from Rs 150-160 crore worldwide gross on its opening day.
Any which way you look at it, Tarak has undoubtedly become the only Telugu hero to be in the company of Prabhas to achieve a “solo film opening” with grosses crossing Rs 100 crore and Rs 150 crore on day one.
