What is the main reason for accepting the ‘blame’ story?
I felt boring doing routine films. There were times when I thought that Entra was making such films. So I took a little gap and went to US. It was at that time that Rajesh told this scandalous story. I liked it as soon as I heard it. I said let’s make this film.
How is your role going to be in ‘Ninda’?
My role in Ninda bears no resemblance to my role in real life. I am jolly and chill outside. I am never serious. But in this film, I played a role completely different from my personality and mentality. I look very settled and matured in this film.
Did you already know that the director of this movie will be the producer?
When I heard the story of Ninda, I didn’t think who will produce this movie.. Who will make it. I like the story. Loved the way Rajesh narrated the story. It made me even more happy to know that he is producing the film. He came forward to build with his belief in his story. He made this movie as a director and producer because he has a lot of guts and courage.
What is going to be said in the movie ‘Ninda’? How’s it going?
There are many movies in suspense, crime and thriller genre. In the case of blame, the screenplay is going to be very new. No one can predict what will happen next. The original full story and script was not narrated to any of the artists. Due to this, a curiosity has also increased among the acting artists. Who is the real culprit? He acted naturally as he did not know that. I tried to guess when the story was told. But I couldn’t tell either.
*How is the ‘blame’ technically going to be?
RR and camera work are very important for films like ‘Ninda’. We got good technicians. Santhu Omkar has taken it to the next level with his RR and music. Ramiz’s camera work is also excellent.
*What were the challenges faced in shooting ‘Ninda’?
I injured my leg while shooting for the movie Constable. Immediately after that there is a blame schedule. All the artists are already ready. Everything is set. I didn’t want to cancel the shoot for myself.. I saw Rajesh’s dedication and fashion.. I shot with that injury. I took that risk for Rajesh.
How was the journey with director producer Rajesh Jagannath?
I was introduced to a good person in the form of Rajesh. He has become like my own brother. When we get old, we don’t make new friends. But I was introduced to this film by a good man like Rajesh.
How did Maitri decide to take up and release this project?
Our director producer Rajesh’s friend is releasing this movie in US. He is known to his friend Naveen. So Maitri Shashi saw our film. Shashigaru said that he will release the movie only if he likes it. He saw the picture. I liked it very much. That is why they came forward to release our film.
What are the next projects?
After Ninda, I am going to come to the audience with a crazy project. The character in Ninda bears no resemblance to the character in that movie. We want to start promotions in July and release in August. Apart from that, I am also doing a film called Constable
