Emergency’, the Bollywood film, stars actress-cum-parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut in the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The political drama was supposed to be released in theatres on June 14th. It has now got a new release date.
The film will arrive at the cinemas on September 6th.
Making the announcement, Kangana today said that the film is about independent India’s “darkest chapter”.
“The beginning of the 50th year of Independent India’s darkest chapter, announcing Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency in cinemas on 6th September 2024. The explosive saga of the most controversial episode in the history of Indian Democracy, Emergency, in cinemas worldwide,” the makers of the film wrote on social media today.
‘Emergency’ has music by GV Prakash Kumar. The background music is expected to be striking because GV is someone who is very good when it comes to movies that belong to unconventional genres.
Recently, Kangana was in the news when a CISF jawan slapped her at an airport.
