Plot
The film revolves around the character Venkata Ramana (Mahesh Babu), portrayed by Mahesh Babu, who faces the loss of his mother’s(Ramya Krishna) love from a young age due to complicated circumstances. Raised by his father’s side of the family in Guntur, Ramana tends to the family’s Mirchi business.
The storyline takes a twist when his mother, now a minister, contacts him, seeking his disassociation from her wealth. The narrative unfolds through a series of questions: Will Ramana comply? Why did his mother leave him? What does his grandfather desire from him? Will the mother and son reconcile in the end?
Performances
Mahesh Babu’s performance emerges as the saving grace of “Guntur Karam.” Breaking away from subdued roles, he brings energy, screen presence, and impeccable dialogue delivery, living up to the expectations of his fans.
Prakash Raj stands out with his versatile portrayal, while other supporting cast members deliver decent performances.
On the flip side, the leading ladies, Sreeleela and Meenakshi Choudary, are given characters that lack depth and significance, a recurring issue in Trivikram’s films.
Ramya Krishna as Mother is the soul of the movie and lived the role with ease.

The film kicks off well in the first half, with Mahesh’s energetic and entertaining portrayal complemented by Trivikram’s trademark humor and dialogues. The party office scene and the fun sequences featuring Sreeleela, Mahesh, and Vennela Kishore contribute to the film’s paisa vasool factor.
However, the plot takes a hit in the second half, where the mother-son bonding isn’t convincingly established. The narrative deviates, introducing unnecessary elements and diminishing the impact of the main storyline.

Despite Trivikram’s efforts to infuse humor and entertainment, the routine content and lack of standout scenes in the second half leave the audience wanting more. The climax, while not entirely disappointing, may fall short of the expectations set by the Mahesh-Trivikram combo.
