‘Kalki 2’ will be a huge project. Director Nag Ashwin has been asked about what he plans for the second part. Here is what he has said in different interviews:
- The second part will be partly set up in a whole new world. The Complex, Shambala and Kasi City are already known. The second part will feature a new world.
- Prabhas’ Bhairava will have a full-fledged role in Part 2, unlike in Part 1 wherein he had limited screen time, especially in the first half.
- Vijay Deverakonda is likely to make a meaty appearance as Arjuna. Unlike SS Rajamouli and RGV, his is not an inconsequential cameo.
- Mahesh Babu playing Lord Krishna has been categorically ruled out. Even in Part 2, Krishna will be presented in the form of a silhouette.
- Part 2 will go on the floors after much rumination and brainstorming, and extensive pre-production involving concept artists, among others.
