On May 31st (Friday), five Telugu movies are going to debut at the cinemas. Here are the ones: Vishwak Sen’s ‘Gangs Of Godavari’, Kartikeya’s ‘Bhaje Vaayu Vegam’, Anand Deverakonda’s ‘Gam Gam Ganesha’, Sudheer Babu’s ‘Harom Hara’ and Kajal Aggarwal’s ‘Satyabhama’.
Too many films on a single day is not good for most of them, especially because they are not big-ticket movies starring superstars. Moreover, they will be vying for the audience’s attention at a time when the Telugu population in Andhra Pradesh will be prioritizing the election result hungama on June 4th.
Probably, at least one film could be postponed for want of adequate theatres. ‘GoG’ will definitely not be the one, as it is produced by Sithara Entertainments, a big banner. ‘Gam Gam Ganesha’ is also said to be intent on sticking to the date. Kajal Aggarwal has already started promoting ‘Satyabhama’; so, even this movie is unlikely to be postponed.
