‘Manamey’, the June 7th release, stars Sharwanand and Krithi Shetty in lead roles. Director Sriram Adittya has defended the inclusion of sixteen songs in the family entertainer.
“These many songs were required to give the film a musical flavour. I am inspired by the way Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Kushi’ made use of the background score to enhance its scenes. The songs in ‘Manamey’ aid in story progression,” he says.
Hesham Abdul Wahab of ‘Hi Nanna’ and ‘Kushi’ fame is the music director. “I signed him for ‘Manamey’ before the movies of Nani and Vijay Deverakonda came his way,” Sriram reveals.
The film is produced by People Media Factory, which spent a bomb on a lengthy London schedule. “The schedule was so taxing and cumbersome due to practical, logistical issues. And more than 60 members were involved in the schedule,” the director says.
‘Manamey’, as per Sharwanand, will exceeded the box-office performance of his biggest hit, ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’.
