The movie ‘Month of Madhu’ is starring Naveen Chandra and Swathi Reddy in lead roles. The film is written and directed by Srikanth Nagoti, who gave the critically acclaimed Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna, and Yashwant Mulukutla is producing under Creative Productions and Handpicked Stories banner. Sumanth Dama is the co-producer and Raghuvarma Peruri is the executive producer. Already released songs, teaser, trailer got good response. Hero Naveen Chandra shared the features of the film in a press conference in view of the release of the film on October 6 worldwide.
How did ‘Month of Madhu’ begin?
I did Bhanumati & Ramakrishna with director Srikanth Nagoti. This movie got very good name. After this movie he also got some projects. Although we are thinking of doing another film together, I am already busy with many films and web series. When I asked him what he was doing next, he said that he wanted two stories. I liked the month of Madhu very much. I thought it would be good if I did such a role. I immediately said ok without another thought. That’s how this movie started.
What will be your role in this?
In this I will be seen in a role that is very close to nature. My character name is Madhusudhana Rao. During his school days, his friends looked up to him as a hero. But after the passage of time, they go into someone’s life. Madhu remains in the same state of mind. He gets addicted to drugs and cigarettes. There is no need to work under someone. He has no hope for money. He has no goal. Does not take any responsibility. Since childhood everyone looks at him with a hero image and he stays in that image.
We observe that the people around give the buildup that one person lacks. We come across characters in real life who think the same is true and stay in it. Madhu’s role in this is also similar. I chose this movie because I liked the story. ‘Month of Madhu is a very special movie.
What will be the role of Madhu, a girl from America?
Madhumati’s character is a US NRI. She is a girl who was born and brought up there. They grow up very independent there. It is difficult to tell those who are used to the culture there to behave according to Indian culture. The girl is the same here in the US.
Month of Madhu means Mira ..that girl?
Both of them. A month given to that girl.. This month my character’s friendship with her is the story of how Swati and I changed our lives.
What is the role of Swati?
She looks like a Telugu girl. Represents a Telugu girl. Pain is in that role. This story is very unique. In this movie, we are going to show the journey of the characters and their choices.
What is your goal as an actor?
Good roles should be played. Good stories should be told. Currently I am very busy as an actor. Six films are released as a hero. Five movies as a character and three as a villain have been finished. Directors also believe that I am a good actor. That is why various films and roles are coming.
