Film director Ram Gopal Varma once again skipped Police questioning at the Ongole Rural Police Station on November 25. Varma is facing multiple Police cases after posting morphed images of political leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, on Social Media. Initially, the Andhra Pradesh police had summoned Ram Varma for questioning on November 19. However, he requested a week’s extension due to his ongoing shooting schedule, which the police granted. A second notice was issued, asking him to appear on November 25, but Varma failed to comply once again.
Instead of appearing, Varma sent a message through his lawyer to the Ongole Rural Circle Inspector, requesting more time for questioning. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh High Court is set to hear his anticipatory Bail Petition on November 26. The case against Varma stems from a complaint filed by M Ramalingaiah, the Mandal Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He accused Varma of posting offensive content about TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his family on Social Media. Following the complaint, a case was registered, and Varma was ordered to appear before the police. As the legal proceedings continue, Varma’s absence from the questioning has raised questions about his next steps.
