Speaking at the pre-release event of ‘Lucky Baskhar’ on Sunday, actor Vijay Deverakonda recounted his first meeting with Trivikram Srinivas. “I had just attained my first success in the form of ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Sithara Entertainments gave me a call and handed over a cheque as advance. At that time, I got to interact with Trivikram sir for the first time. He is a filmmaker I grew up admiring. ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’ are among my favourite movies. If anyone didn’t like ‘Khaleja’, I used to pick up arguments with them,” the ‘Kushi’ and ‘Family Star’ actor said.
‘Khaleja’, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead, didn’t do well in theatres upon its release. It became a cult classic after its TV premieres.
“I remember the kind of high I felt the day when I got to meet with Trivikram sir. Since then, I have gotten to interact with him many times. I share with him about my life, my relationships, my struggles. And he shares with me his insights about epics,” VD said.
During his speech, Trivikram said that Vijay has seen both love and hate flow towards him in a short span of time
