YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu, who is currently incarcerated in Chanchalguda Jail, has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after a medical test confirmed ganja consumption. This is the fifth case filed against him.
He already faces charges under the the Information Technology Act for transmitting material depicting sexual abuse of children. He and three of his friends grossly sexualized a girl child’s relationship with her father a few days ago. The video landed them in trouble.
Praneeth, recently seen in Sudheer Babu’s ‘Harom Hara’, also faces charges under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. He has also been booked for uploading or sharing content that is obscene, lewd, lascivious, etc. in nature. He also faces charges under an IPC section that deals with obscene acts or words in public.
The provisions of the NDPS Act are quite strict. It seems Praneeth’s difficulties have started getting worse. Will he even get bail?
