Disney+ Hotstar has launched its first Telugu long-format show. Titled ‘Agnisakshi’, it will start premiering on July 12th.
Arjun Ambati and Aishwarya Pisse, who are known for TV serials, are leading the show. “We promise an engaging drama with an intense storyline and powerful performances,” the makers said.
The show tells the story of Shankar, an upright police officer who is unable to grapple with the untimely loss of a beloved family member. The cop’s life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Gowri, a young woman who is yet to come to terms with her own grief. Gowri dreams of becoming a cop like her father but has had an academic setback. Shankar and Gowri find themselves connected by a puzzling murder case. Despite their contrasting personalities and Gowri’s recent academic failure, a shared understanding of loss draws them together.
The web series is going to feature lots of suspenseful elements and twists.
