The Telugu Film Directors Association has extended a warm invite to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for the Director’s Day celebrations this Sunday (May 19th) at Hyderabad’s LB Stadium. TFDA President Veera Shankar led a team of his colleagues to meet the CM on Friday evening.
Harish Shankar, Anil Ravipudi, ‘Bimbisara’ fame Vashishta, and others were there on the occasion.
After the formal meeting, the TFDA issued a statement saying that Revanth Reddy’s vision for the development of the Telugu film industry is worthy of applause. “The CM wants Tollywood to emerge as the world’s cinema hub. Towards that end, his administration is ready to provide all the support that is required,” Veera Shankar said.
The TFDA favours the establishment of a world-class film institute in Hyderabad. This is a tall ask but if the government lends support, it will be a crowning achievement for the Association.
Sunday’s LB Stadium event will be attended by thousands. Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Allu Arjun and others will be there as guests among actors.
