‘Hanu-Man’ is the first Indian original superhero movie from creative director Prashant Varma’s cinematic universe. K Niranjan Reddy has ambitiously produced this film on Primeshow Entertainment with young hero Teja Sajja in the lead role. The film was released in a grand manner worldwide on January 12 as a gift of Sankranthi and became an epic blockbuster success by entertaining all the audiences. In this background, hero Teja Sajja shared the features of the film in a press conference.
How does it feel that Hanuman has achieved such great success?
Very happy. Extraordinary response is coming from everywhere. The audience is very supportive. It is very surprising to see the response coming from outside languages. The Telugu audience knows who I am. But those of other languages don’t even know who I am. The great response coming from such people is very gratifying. It is pleased to see such extraordinary openings and numbers. Hanuman will remain a benchmark film in my career. This victory belongs to all the audience. Everyone was very welcoming. Hanuman is proof that if a good movie comes out, the audience will go crazy. Thanks to all the audience. I strongly believe that some divine power is guiding us.
Wasn’t there a bit of pressure before the release of Hanuman? What were your thoughts then?
No real pressure was taken for the last ten days. We believe that everything will happen as planned. Now the theaters are increasing every game. We strongly believe that this film will run for more than four weeks. We thought that we would definitely see another week that we did not see this week.
About producer K Niranjan Reddy?
Our producer Niranjan Reddy has put a lot of faith in us. Seeing the trust of the director and producer, I did not commit to another film. If any film is made in the middle of this, there is a possibility that it will have some impact on Hanuman. I did Hanuman with strong faith without such an opportunity. I watched the premiere with the audience. Seeing their wonderful response made me feel like all my weight had been lifted. While enjoying the success, we are thinking about bringing the film to a larger audience. We are going to Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai. There is also an idea to go to Yus.
Director Prashant Varma said that you gave good input during the shooting!
As an actor, if I want to say something on location, I will say it without making a face. What I feel is possible for the audience to feel as well. Director Prashant Varma listens to whoever says input. That is his best. Ultimately everyone’s goal is to make the movie great. We all worked as a team work for Hanuman.
Are all Hanuman action stunts original?
Hanuman is all original. We have done the underwater sequence, the climax sequence in the air, all these are real. In the air sequence, if I put on the make-up and climb the rope, I would come down again in the evening.
Is the brother-sister emotion well-developed in Hanuman? How was it working with Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar?
Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar is a great actor. There is an opportunity to learn while working with a big actor. All the scenes came out well with mutual cooperation.
Whenever I see the statue of Hanuman in it, I feel very divine.. How many days did it take to make it?
It took six months for that one shot.

Chiranjeevi knew about the Hanuman project. Chiranjeevi also knows our intention. (Laughs) Chiranjeevi is very happy about Hanuman. On 12th ‘Congratulations my boy. They sent me a message saying ‘So proud of you’.
Harigaura background music is getting very good response ? What did you think when you saw it in the theater?
Extraordinary response Andy. The audience is going into a divine trance while watching some scenes. I don’t think we did the Hanuman movie. Hanuman happened to us.
What did you learn on Hanuman’s journey?
I learned to be patient. (laughs)

We are going to start shooting for a movie. We will announce soon.
