The conflict between bigwigs in the Chambers is detrimental to the film industry.
Senior producer, distributor, and exhibitor Nattikumar expressed reliance on the Telugu Film Chamber and the Telangana Film Chamber for the release of Sankranti films ‘Hanuman,’ ‘Guntur Karam,’ ‘Saindhav,’ and ‘My Father’s Stage.’ In a press meeting organized at his office in Hyderabad on Friday, he spoke. ‘The Presidents of the Telugu Film Chamber, Dil Raju, and the Telangana Film Chamber, Sunil Narang, have theaters. They are sending only some movies like ‘Hanuman’ for release, neglecting others like ‘Guntur Karam,’ ‘Saindhav,’ and ‘My Father’s Stage.’ Actual bigwigs in the Chambers should put their selfishness aside and provide theaters for all movies; it’s unjust to keep theaters closed for some movies. I apologize for withdrawing ‘Eagle’ yesterday. But theaters should be given for ‘Hanuman’ as well.
I came to know that they’ve done it with a good budget. That movie also has a craze. I saw that the movie’s producer pleaded about the issue of not getting into theaters even after appointing distributors. The government should not only allocate distributors but also provide theaters based on the craze for movies. I’m not against big movies.
I’ve always asked for justice for small movies alongside big movies. My demand has been the same for a long time. Two state governments in Telugu states should support small movie producers… I’ve seen that injustice. The governments should joke about this injustice. AP government is using a different policy regarding movie ticket rates. They say if the budget exceeds 100 crores, they’ll fix the ticket rate. It didn’t increase the ticket rate for ‘Bro’ and ‘Bhagavant Kesari’ movies earlier. But now, producers requested to increase ticket rates for ‘My Father’s Stage.’ The YSRCP government is surprising everyone by fixing the ticket rates without following guidelines. Why does ‘Nagarjuna’ movie need a big budget? Why do Jagannath, and Posani Krishna Murali ask for increased ticket rates?
The people are supporting them with unnecessary burdens. 30% wastage is happening… The success of ‘Jagan Hitler’… People are being burdened unnecessarily. Volunteers should do work in favor of the public… You must remember that people win. Telangana government should understand my request… There should be a discussion on the film industry situation in Chitrapuri. Many producers haven’t got any land… The impact of joining Sharmila’s Congress is falling on YSRCP only. If AP development has to happen, Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan’s rule should come,” said Nattikumar.
