In the backdrop of Rajamundry, the film “1920 Bhimunipatnam” featuring actors Kancherla Upendra and Aparna Devi in lead roles is being filmed. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Narasimha Nandi under the banner of SSLS Creations, the production of this film is underway in the scenic locales of Rajamundry. Recently, the shooting commenced at Ramoji Film City, and the unit has been capturing pivotal scenes between the hero and heroine amidst the picturesque settings there.
Speaking on the occasion, producer Kancherla Achyutarao stated, “We will be shooting in Rajamundry for the next ten days. We are portraying crucial sequences between the hero and heroine in the backdrop of the Godavari delta region. Director Narasimha Nandi is brilliantly bringing the essence of love to life through the characters of Seetaram and Sujatha in this film. The music and cinematography add soul to the narrative, with the renowned music director Ilayaraja’s compositions being a highlight. After Rajamundry, we will also film in Visakhapatnam, Araku, and Ooty.”
Director Narasimha Nandi, elaborating on the film, said, “We are presenting this film with a story that unfolds against the backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle. The characters are naturally portrayed, drawing inspiration from real-life incidents. Actor Kancherla Upendra essays the role of a former British government police officer, while actress Aparna Devi shines as Kumarthi, a freedom fighter.”

Murali Mohan Reddy, editing by Nagireddy, art direction by Suresh Bhimagani, and co-producers Kancherla Subbalakshmi and Kancherla Suneeth. The film is produced by Kancherla Achyutarao, with screenplay and direction by Narasimha Nandi.
